Toy Wishes Hot Dozen Toys for 2007
On Oct 2, Toy Wishes Magazine released their hot dozen toys for 2007. The staff predicts the toys that will be must haves for the holidays. This years list has quite a few consumer electronics products with 7 of the 12 toys having a screen or monitor (compated to only 2 of last year’s hot dozen toys). The average price of the high end toys is down too. Last year there were 3 hot toys that were $250 and over (Nintendo Wii, Butterscotch Pony, and Lego Mindstorms NXT). This year all of the hot dozen toys are under $100. That’s good news for parents on a budget! So here they are:
Fisher Price Smart Cycle – Ages 3 to 6 – This is a plug and play TV game for pre-schoolers. The games reinforce preschool concepts like letters, numbers, shapes and colors. The child rides the bicycle and pedals through various environments. It comes with Learning Journey software and additional themes can be purchased including Dora’s Jungle Safari, Sponge Bob’s Ocean Adventures, Hotwheels, Barbie, Space and Dinoland. The Smart Cycle has been out since June and reviews are pretty good on Amazon (most love it but there are a few that have had problems). Find the best deals on the Smart Cycle and Software.
Hannah Montana Singing Dolls and Pop Star Stage. Hannah Montana is so popular! There are two version of the Hannah Montana Singing Doll. Hannah in her black outfit sings “Best of Both Worlds.” Hannah in her blue outfit sings “The Other Side of Me.” The Pop Stage is sold separately and is a plug in for an iPod or MP3 player as well as as a stage with working microphone. Hasbro Transformers Ultimate Bumblebee Figure and Transformers Arm Blasters. Toy Wishes actually named two Transformers toys here as part of the hot dozen and referred to all of the Transformers toys as being hot for the holidays! The Ultimate Bumblebee Figure is half Camaro and half robot. Great combination and innovative design! The Transformers Arm Blasters convert from an air vehicle and a truck to soft dart blaster! The American Idol Talent Challenge - Working microphone, mixer, and 12 songs – It plugs into the TV and uses a DVD. Your friends can rate you with the DVD remote and you’ll hear reactions from Randy, Paula, and Simon. Fun for ages 8 and up.
Barbie Girls – A cool Barbie doll and MP3 player that connects to the computer and unlocks a virtual world at barbiegirls.com. Ages 6 and up.
Eye-Clops is an electronic magnifier that plugs into the TV and magnifies 200 times. Take a look at bugs or anything you want to explore.
Aqua Dots Super Studio is a cool activity set to make decorations, light catchers and anything you can imagine.
